Some Videos

Grandma requested a video to show off my walking. This one is for you Grandma Amanda!

My two favorite things at nighttime: Daddy's video game controller and Spongebob Squarepants.

The Banana Peel Thief

I worked really hard this morning to get a piece of pancake on my fork. I finally did after about 15 minutes of trying. But my success quickly faded.

Then, 10 seconds later (literally)...

Have you missed me?

Let me apologize for my slacker of a Mommy. She hasn't put up any pictures of me from this whole year. So noone has seen how big I have gotten. I started walking at the beginning of the new year, so I am into everything now!! And Mommy and Daddy are feeding me real food now, so I have discovered that there are things that taste a lot better than that stuff in the jar!! Plus, I am down to only one bottle a day, but if they try to take my binky away, I am ready to put up a fight!!

I had my first haircut!!

Daddy likes my hair to be neat and straight!! He hasn't yet figured out that you can't fight curly hair.

One of my new favorite snacks: Banana Nut Cheerios

I finally discovered chocolate! It was so good that I had to share it with my best friend!

Mommy thinks I have separation anxiety, but that isn't true. When I find something that fits perfectly into my little hands, I hang on to it for as long as I can. I had this banana peel for an hour before Mommy was able to get it away from me!

I was way too fast for her!!

I only get a bottle at nighttime now, so I make sure to savor every drop of it.

Well, that's a little update on what I've been doing this year. I will try to make Mommy do better, but I can't make any promises!

Bacon Explosion

Anyone who knows my Daddy is aware of his undying love for bacon. So when he found this recipe, he was like a kid in a candy store. The following is a step by step pictorial of "Bacon Explosion." This recipe consists of 2 pounds of bacon, 2 pounds of Italian sausage, BBQ sauce, BBQ rub, and a smoker. Warning: You may get a stomach ache just from seeing the pictures!

Step 1: A bacon basketweave covered in dry rub.

Step 2: Layer of Italian sausage

Step 3: Layer of cooked bacon covered in dry rub and sauce

Step 4: Roll up the sausage

Step 5: Wrap it in bacon

Step 6: Smoke for several hours.

And it is ready to be served!!

That is one happy man!!

Christmas and 1st Birthday

My first Christmas started out kinda rough. I woke up at 6am, but not because I was excited about Santa. I had 103 fever, an ear infection, 3 teeth trying to break through, and I threw up my breakfast. Even with all that I was still a trooper.

I needed a little help with opening presents at first.

Then, I got pretty good at it.

What's in there Grandma?

I have no idea what is in those boxes, but I do know that this red circle thingy is amazing!

Making Daddy proud

Just a few days after Christmas was my first birthday! We had a full house of people, a lot of food, and even more presents!! Grandma Amanda and Aunt Melissa helped Mommy make a football cake as well as a baseball cake and cupcakes.

I have been missing out! Who knew sugar would be so great?

Time for presents once again...

What does it say Daddy?

Now this is a present that I know what to do with!!

Other presents took me a little longer to figure out.

After the party, Uncle Grady and Aunt Melissa went to Chicago and let Delia stay with me. We had so much fun! I felt like I had a sister to do everything with. We took naps together...

We wore matching pajamas...

She helped me break into the box of crackers (our favorite snack). Too bad we got busted.

She even taught me how to ride my new horse. I was scared until I saw her do it.

I miss you Delia!! I will see you in a few weeks at your birthday party!!

Monday, December 1, 2008

I turned 11 months old on Thanksgiving Day, and it was such a great day. After spending 3 whole nights by myself with Grandma Amanda, we went to Great-Grandma Dot's house in Yazoo City. Mommy and Daddy met us there with a whole bunch of other people who said they were my cousins, aunts, and uncles. We ate lots of turkey and rode 4-wheelers all day long. You can look at Cousin Delia's blog for some pictures. www.starkvillescoop.blogspot.com
I was sad to leave Grandma Amanda, but I had to go back home with Mommy. She says she missed me a lot!!
The rest of the weekend we did normal things. Some people may even say boring things, but it doesn't take much to get me excited. Bath time is still my favorite time of day. Now I get to use the big bathtub, and sometimes Daddy puts bubbles in for me to play with.

And Mommy has fun playing with my hair!

"That was fun Mommy!! Can we please do it again?"

On Sunday, Cousin Chloe came over for a few hours.

I got to get close to her this time, but quickly found out that she doesn't do much.

Halloween and a New Cousin

Mommy dressed me up like a monkey for Halloween! I will let her have her way for now, but next year I am picking out my own costume!!

I think that they should have had to dress up too. That's just something else I will make them do next year!!

We didn't make it to many houses, but I had a lot of fun at Uncle Tim and Aunt Laura Lee's house!

And before the night was through, I started getting into character, climbing on everything I could find!

I got a new cousin this week!!! Chloe Alyssa Brown arrived Wednesday morning. She is the first little girl born in the Brown family in several generations. I thought she was pretty cool. Well, I did, until everybody kept putting me down to hold her. I don't think I like this sharing thing.
