A Few Pics

I bet you are wondering why I am so dressed up. No reason. It is just a normal day. I like to dress up to impress the girls at school. As you can see from below I have almost mastered my model pose.

With the warm weather over the past few weeks Daddy and I have had to continue cutting the grass. I don't mind like Daddy does. I discovered that it was even more fun to cut the grass in my underwear. (Until I fell in a fresh pile of dog poo)

Grandma Amanda thought that I was so cute in my Halloween outfit that she sent me some skeleton pjs. Mommy tried to get a pic of me in the pjs to send to Grandma. However I am not always cooperative with photo shoots. I think it is hilarious to hide from Mommy when she breaks out the camera.

I slipped up and let her get one of the outfit, but she still didn't get my face!
My favorite hiding spot is behind my pillows.

My First Real Trick-or-Treat

I was a scary skeleton for Halloween! Mommy put my costume on early Saturday morning to take a couple of pictures, but I did not want to take it off.

So we went around the block to map out our route for that night.

I bet you have never seen a skeleton drive a bulldozer before.

Mommy was able to trick me out of the outfit before naptime, but the hat was not coming off.

"Is it time to go yet?"

The dark finally came, and Grandma Julia was there with me to hold my hand. Mommy was so proud of me. I was a little nervous at the first house, but then I realized what happened at each house. I walked around the entire block with no whining and without asking to be picked up. I never said "Trick-or-Treat," but I was a pro at holding out my Pumpkin and saying "Peeeze!"

We saw all the kids in the neighborhood. This is Lexie who lives 2 doors down.

Now it was time to enjoy my treats!

"Oooooooh!"

Gardens, Zoo, and a Farm

Last Saturday was a chilly day, but that didn't stop us from going outside to play. We went back to the Botanic Gardens. This time Daddy went with us.

He showed me how he can climb tree. So I had to try too!

I also found some food just sitting out, but I couldn't figure out how to eat it.

Luckily Mommy brought me a snack!
The next day we took a quick trip to go see the new exhibit at the zoo.

Teton Trek houses three baby grizzlies that were rescued after they lost their mommy. It also has wolves, waterfowl, and elk.

I still made time to stop and see my other favorite animals...

like the polar bears...

and the elephants.

Mommy is not a very good driver. I chose to navigate my wagon by myself.

I even gave her a ride!
This morning was the start to another beautiful weekend! We went to Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando. There was a petting zoo, pony rides, a corn "maize," a hay bale fort, a hay ride, and lots of pumpkins!

"Daddy, will you please buy me these pumpkins?"

Daddy did buy me what I wanted, but then he tried to put them in a bag. And Mommy tried to help me carry them. I did not want anybody to touch my pumpkins. I carried them everywhere we went for 2 hours.

I fell asleep as soon as we got home (with the pumpkins still in my hand.)

Fun in the Fall

After a bad September filled with stomach flu and a breakout of lice at daycare I was looking forward to a better October. I started the month out with a short haircut (thanks to the lice) and a case of tonsilitis, but I am feeling good now!

Catie came to Memphis this weekend with Baby Jack! I smiled at him from far way, but this was the only time I would get close to him. Maybe next year we can play together.

Right now I am just too cool for babies. I played with the big kids...

like 4-year-old Caden,

19-month-old Abby,

and then there was Hannah. It was love at first sight!

I would follow her anywhere!

Mommy has been trying to get me to eat more fruits to stay healthy. She quickly figured out that I don't need my apple to be cut up. I am a big boy and refuse to eat anything that is not in its proper form.

Last weekend we stayed home while Daddy went to Starkville. I was sad that I didn't get to see Cousin Delia. So Mommy took me to the Botanic Gardens to cheer me up. They just opened "My Big Backyard," a garden just for kids!

This is the very cool Birdhouses/slides!

There was an area full of wooden blocks and sticks to build with, but I prefered to watch the big kids.
I had the most fun just wandering around...

and climbing...

and crawling through tunnels...

and making music!

This is the Rock n Roll house full of things that make very loud noises when you hit them with drumsticks.

We spent most of our time in there.

Mommy decided that it was time to go, but I did not agree. I hid in these very sticky plants so she couldn't get me.

After she pulled me from the plants, she took me to the other side of the garden to see these really big fish!

I loved watching them until one tried to jump out at me. I was ready to go home after that!
